What do the statistics mean?
Big chance: An opportunity where a player would reasonably be expected to have a good chance of scoring. Big chances created: Passes or actions that create such opportunities. Assist: The final pass leading to a goal, according to the data provider’s definition. xA: Expected assists, estimating the quality of shots resulting from passes. Big-chance difference: Big chances created minus big chances conceded.
A valid big-chance conversion rate requires both big chances and goals scored from those particular chances. Total goals divided by big chances is not a reliable conversion metric.
